Dreaming

Last night, I found myself dreaming of an unfamiliar place. In a dimly lit room, people were preparing to leave as the meeting concluded. Amidst the movement, I managed to recognize some of them, though only vaguely and without much clarity. However, I noticed a young woman whose face was clearly visible to me, and her smile seemed somewhat familiar.

We began talking, and there was an exciting sense of complicity between us. As we grew closer, I found myself drawn to her natural charm. Believing our connection was mutual, I considered expressing my feelings to her. Yet, I hesitated, wondering if her empathy was directed towards me or if she was like this with everyone.

I was at a standstill when I woke up. As I returned to reality, I pondered the meaning of that scene at the end of a sleepless night and after a stressful episode the previous day. The best explanation I could muster was that the woman embodied the final image of all the women I had encountered. Indeed, her visage was not strange at all. Although it did not characterize any specific woman, she might have been a blend of all of them.

That daydream evoked the sensation of encountering someone I had known in the distant past, even though I no longer recalled what she was like. She rekindled cherished memories buried in my subconscious. Interestingly, the woman's thought-provoking vision was not without precedent. Therefore, the metaphor may not only pertain to the initial hypothesis but also serve as an allegory for past joys, offering comfort in the uncertain times of today.
